FAQ’s
What are my to do’s for my delivery?
- Print out or mark on your delivery item the verification code for the delivery.
- It is possible a driver could be right in your area, so you need to have your item ready to go within 10 minutes from posting your listing.
- Your item needs to be packaged so it can withstand some potential accidental bumps and bruises along the way. No one is perfect.
- The driver can man handle any items within reason depending on weight and size getting things loaded and unloaded. The driver may require you to help if you’re shipping an item that requires two humans and a dog for loading and unloading. Woof!
- There are several ways to ensure the right driver is there for your delivery. Does the vehicle match the one they posted? License plate number is listed, check that out. As an added step, compare the drivers verification code with yours to see if they match.
What forms of Payments are accepted?
- Payments are processed through a third party payment processor accepting debit cards, and credit cards. We are working on bringing Venmo, PayPal, and Apple Pay online in the near future.
Where do we Deliver?
- We are working on building a network that will span all across the United States. Currently we are serving all of Utah. We have plans to cover most the Western States very soon. Watch for Teleport in your area and give us a try!
Can you ride with a Teleport Driver?
- No Bueno, but if you want to follow the driver to your destination address by all means take a scenic drive.
What am I not allowed to ship?
- No shipping prohibited Items. Prohibited item are defined as follows:
- No humans!
- Hazardous materials of any kind, this includes explosives, gases, flammable liquids, flammable solids, poisonous or infectious substances or materials, anything deemed by the Department of Transportation as hazardous materials.
- No Firearms, ammunition, or explosive materials
- Anything which you have reason to believe are illegal or stolen. Stay away from all this, bad bad bad.
How will I know my items are delivered?
- Easy Bro. We have a built in tracking system that will send you notifications along the way. You will know every step of your items journey to its promised land (Destination that is). If you feel so inclined, please rate your driver and leave a review as this inspires drivers to do a phenomenal job for awesome people like you!
Do I need to package my items?
- If the item needs some extra fluff to ensure perfect arrival of your stuff then the suggestion is yes, pack up your items, especially the breakable ones. The driver will do his/her best to ensure your items make it where they need to go in the shape they need to be, but some journeys can get a little rough along the way so let’s all work together.
- Teleport drivers will use best judgement on whatever you want delivered inspecting items before they make the journey. This way your items are ensured a safe passage to their new home!
What if my items aren’t ready when the driver arrives?
- When your item is up for pickup, the driver sends you notification they are on the way!
- You should have time enough to get that package ready to fly but if you’re stuck in slow motion because your cup of Joe is running low, then we have some built in hang time.
- The driver will also send notification when they arrive giving you a full 10 minutes to prep your package if it’s not already waiting (That’s a life time for package delivery)!
- If you need more time then that, it becomes your dime! Drivers have places to go so can’t hang all day. Every minute over the “hang 10 time” gives your driver a 35 cent tip. If your feeling generous then offer to have your driver chill and enjoy the summer day on your front porch while you talk about the weather!
- If you need a hand with bigger items, you can request the drivers help in the “special instructions” box when creating your listing. Any driver that accepts the Delivery listing already knows the details and will be ready!
- You also have an open chat with your driver during the delivery process just in case anything changes, so let's work together!
What if I need to cancel a delivery?
- Plans change, we get it! If a driver has not accepted your listing then you can cancel your delivery by simply using the “Delete Listing” button, no worries.
- If a driver has accepted your delivery and is en-route, the “Delete Listing” option will no longer be available. You will have a new option “Cancel Active Delivery”.
- We understand things happen, but once a driver has committed their time for you, it only makes sense to throw them a bone for their efforts. We pro-rate the distance they have traveled after accepting your delivery and deduct that amount from your pay method. A minimum charge of $5.00 plus .25 cents per mile traveled in your direction is added.
- We capped the maximum charge at $10.00 so you will never be charged more then that per cancellation.
Can I schedule my delivery anytime?
- Of course! We have a scheduling section for your delivery that allows you to schedule a delivery anytime into the future. Go Crazy!
Will my driver help me out with loading?
- As long as you gave the driver a heads up in the “Special Instructions” box, that you will need help loading your item, that driver is already planning on it. If you didn’t mention it in the listing then depending on the drivers capabilities you may need to get your neighbor to help out if the item requires a champion weight lifter to get your item loaded!
- In most cases our drivers are capable of lending a hand if items require additional help with loading. But as a rule of thumb, it’s best to add the “Special Instructions” so the driver is prepared to help.
Is my payment information secure?
- Absolutely! We use a verified secure payment processing platform to ensure every transaction is safe from all those masked bandits! We hunt down and dick punch those losers!
